Let’s start here:
God Loves You and there is nothing you can do to separate yourself from the Love of God.
Romans 8:38-39
New King James Version

Yes I know we have all done some pretty “ungodly” things in life but that doesn’t mean we are disqualified from a relationship with Him. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.

Too often we have allowed people to drive a wedge between our relationship with God. My grandmother would always say, “you gotta get to know Him for yourself.” Within recent years, her words resonated deeply within my spirit and caused a shift in my perspective. I used to carry a heavy concern about how I was viewed by “Godly” people (Pastors, Leaders, etc.) in the past their validation and approval orchestrated my actions. but "Godly" people cannot – will not – and DO NOT replace God. They serve as a guide to help us fulfill the will of God in our own personal lives, but they cannot be our God. If we allow them to occupy the place of God in our lives, they become an idol and we run the risk of fulfilling their will instead of what God wants us to accomplish on this earth.
Also, Pastors/Leaders are human and sometimes we drive our own wedge because our expectations are too high for "Godly" people. We subconsciously expect a human being to be infallible; so, when they mess up we take that out on god. this is why it's important to have your own relationship with God so we are not severing our relationship with God because of people.
Now, I have to tell you that liberating myself from popular opinion was one of the toughest hurdles I’ve ever had to jump in my life. But I determined that I would much rather deal with the reaction of people than have to deal with an angry god. Being free to live life the way God intended is what causes you to fully walk in His will. And this my friends is where the authentic relationship with God begins. (It's not always easy, but it's authentic 😃)

NEVER HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?
If you never had a relationship with God Here are a few scriptures that will guide you along the plan of salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

John 3:16
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

2 Corinthians 5:21

Acts 16:30-31
Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”

Acts 4:12

John 5:24
“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

Matthew 9:6-8
So I will prove to you that the Son of Man[a] has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” 7 And the man jumped up and went home! 8 Fear swept through the crowd as they saw this happen.
Mad at God?
Lord knows I’ve been here several times! After experiencing a ton of Losses, I wondered if God really cared about me and so life also drove a wedge not so much as people. I have included a few scriptures for you to read below….
Hosea 6:1
1 “Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds.
Here is the story of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 20:7-11
Lord, you have deceived me, and I was deceived. You are stronger than I am, and you have overpowered me. Everyone makes fun of me; they laugh at me all day long. 8 Whenever I speak, I have to cry out and shout, “Violence! Destruction!” Lord, I am ridiculed and scorned all the time because I proclaim your message. 9 But when I say, “I will forget the Lord And no longer speak in his name,” then your message is like a fire burning deep within me. I try my best to hold it in, but can no longer keep it back. 10 I hear everybody whispering, “Terror is everywhere! So let's report him to the authorities!” Even my close friends wait for my downfall. “Perhaps he can be tricked,” they say; “then we can catch him and get revenge.” 11 But you, Lord, are on my side, strong and mighty,

1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Honest prayer to God

Hi God, it’s me again. And I’m standing in the Need of Prayer. (Insert your honest concern or issue). Lord please forgive me for every sin and put me back on the right track with you. I thank you for another chance to get things right. In Jesus' Name, I Pray Amen!
The Conclusion
And just like the prodigal son God is waiting to welcome you back into the family. In fact, he was there all the time!
